Eco-friendly stoves convert farm waste into clean energy, biochar, and sustainable income.
The Vijiji BiCarbon Stoves Project provides rural households with clean cooking technology that converts agricultural waste into biochar. This reduces deforestation, lowers carbon emissions, improves soil fertility, and creates new income opportunities through sustainable farming and carbon credit participation.
Through our Vijiji BiCarbon Projects, we designe, manufacturing and delivering Vijiji BiCarbon Stoves, environmental friendly stoves that will help rural household to cook by using agricultural residues while producing biochar (organic Fertilizers) for their farm.
It will be delivered through cash payment or pri payment or loans with small rates that will be deducted through the sell of Carbon Credits payments produced through Vijiji BiCarbon Stoves by the household farmers.
We invision the Vijiji BiCarbon’s Stoves to be an incomes generative Stoves that will assist them to cook using agricultural residues (waste) and while producing their own Biochar “The Black Dimond” for their sustainable farming, CO2eq emissions offset.
Those Biochar will be used as fertilizers to increase agricultural yield, improving water retention in the soil, producing livestocks feed additives and help earn extra income through Carbon Credits by selling their carbon generated from the biochar products applied at their farm.
This is one of our environmental conservation and climate change adaptation mission by removing and re use the Agricultural residues instead of firewood that had been increasing deforestation, help in removing CO2 emissions. Provides households with efficient stoves using farm waste instead of firewood daily.
Converts agricultural residues into biochar, permanently storing carbon and reducing harmful emissions.
Farmers can sell biochar as an organic product, creating new revenue streams and strengthening rural livelihoods.
Farmers earn additional income through biochar sales and participation in carbon credits.
The project reduces environmental degradation by replacing firewood with agricultural residues, preventing deforestation and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. By converting waste into biochar, the initiative permanently stores carbon in soils while promoting sustainable land management practices that support ecosystem health and climate resilience.
The BiCarbon Stoves project improves household well-being by lowering cooking costs, creating income opportunities, and enhancing farm productivity. By producing biochar and accessing carbon credit programs, families benefit from increased crop yields, improved food security, and new pathways for sustainable economic growth.
By traveling with Vunisha or contributing to our impact initiatives, you help expand access to BiCarbon Stoves for rural households. Your support directly reduces deforestation, strengthens food security, and empowers communities to adopt sustainable farming and climate-friendly practices.
Across rural Tanzania, reliance on firewood remains a major driver of deforestation, environmental degradation, and indoor air pollution. The Vijiji BiCarbon Stoves Project offers a sustainable alternative by transforming agricultural waste into both clean cooking energy and valuable farming resources.
This initiative aligns with Vunisha’s mission to promote climate solutions that empower communities while protecting natural ecosystems. By supporting this project, partners and travelers contribute to long-term environmental sustainability and improved rural livelihoods.
